'A Touch of Dutch' with Pancakes & Syrup Waffles

Renee Camfferman grew up in a Dutch family and lived in Holland for most of her 20s so traditional Dutch foods have always had a special place in her life. Growing up, pancakes and syrup waffles were always considered a ‘toetje’ or treat and were an essential part of any family celebration. But why keep these amazing foods a secret?! When Renee shared her favourite Dutch treats with her friends Brooke and Jarrod they were keen to lend their skills and enthusiasm, so together the three of them created Toetjes to bring Dutch fusion street food to Adelaide.

Toetjes brings delicious Dutch flavors with an Aussie twist in a street food form to the Farmers’ Market every Sunday; spreading the love and fun of Dutch culture and cuisine.

Choose from:

  • Coffee
  • Dutch hot chocolate
  • Savory and sweet Pannekoek (Dutch crepe/pancake)
  • Fresh Stroopwafel (hot crispy waffles filled with caramel)

Find Toetjes at the Farmers’ Market every Sunday by the Western entrance behind the CWA cafe building.
