Taronga Almonds
Delicious flavoured almonds
Taronga Almonds are a rare breed. Cultivated on South Australia’s beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, they experience the ideal growing conditions to mature into the high quality, ridiculously tasty, can’t-get-enough-of-them nuts that you’ll find in every Taronga Almonds product. Specialising in 3 main varieties of almonds, Nonpareils, Somertons and Johnstons, each deliver their own unique flavours and textures.
Established in 1991, Taronga Almonds is a family business run by two-and-a-half generations of foodies who love their local area as much as the almond trees do. Having travelled and lived around the world, Deborah and Kris Trajanovski discovered that there really is no place like home – especially when it comes to quality grown almonds. The hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters on the Fleurieu provide the ultimate environment for their trees, which in turn produce the tastiest almonds on their 4 hectare property at Willunga.
Pollinated by their orchard bee hives in July, the almonds are harvested in February and available raw, roasted or flavoured at their Farmers’ Market stall year round.
Taronga Almonds produce a variety of almond goodies, almond meals, Almond Butters, Raw and Roasted Almonds as well as an array of deliciously flavoured almond snacks ready to enjoy as a snack or as a beautifully presented gift.
