Presqîl, Market Garden
Heritage Vegetables Grown Organically and Sustainably
Presqîl is a small-scale (1/3 acre) market garden growing a diverse range of old vegetable varieties selected for flavour and quality. Situated on Peramangk Country, Forest Range (Adelaide Hills), Tim established Presqîl in the growing season of 2023, after 3 years in France working and learning market gardening. Using ecological farming methods, the intention is to work with nature and grow in rhythm with the land and the season, to assist in nurturing the farm to create a healthy environment for vegetables and community to thrive. Growing practices are centred around building soil that is alive and resilient.
Though not certified, Presqîl uses organic and ecological growing practices. We never use chemical fertilisers or pesticides and aim to reduce pest pressure by increasing biodiversity. Growing many different plants helps to create a thriving environment, attracting all types of beneficial life on the farm. This encourages a healthy soil, produces nutritious vegetables and provides a beautiful and nourishing place to work and live.
You will find Tim from Presqîl, Market Gardens outdoors fortnightly at the market.
