Najobe Beef
Pastured, hormone free Red Angus beef
Fourth generation beef farmer Bob Heath traces his family’s South Australian farming roots back to the mid 1850s. Bob and his wife Wendy established their Najobe Park Red Angus cattle stud at Wistow in 1991. The name ‘Najobe’ is an acronym of their childrens’ names: Natasha, Joshua and Ben.
Breeding on attributes of calving ease, temperament and meat quality, the stud also uses low stress animal management practices. In 2010, Bob and Wendy’s son Ben joined the farm and they started to sell at Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers’ Market.
In September 2015, Najobe opened a butcher shop at Strathalbyn, because this would give them total quality control over all meat processing. They also offer home deliveries using fully accredited refrigerated cool rooms, with meat delivered directly to your door.
Najobe’s excellent flavour, tenderness and colour come from free range, grass fed cattle. Najobe cows are raised without the use of hormones or pesticides.
