Fresh, pasture-raised eggs from Fleurieu Peninsula

Back Valley Farm Eggs is a small, family-run farm on the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, just 10 minutes from Victor Harbor.

They have 900 pasture-raised chicken who spend their days roaming wide, open paddocks where they scratch through fresh pasture, chase insects, and help regenerate the land. Every rotation across the farm improves soil health, reduces weeds naturally, and supports native wildlife — it also ensures the land is cared for sustainably so that future generations can farm the land.

The flock is a mix of Hyline Browns, Commercial Whites, and Commercial Blacks, each adding their own charm (and egg colour!) to the cartons they pack on-farm within days of being laid. With the help of a working dog and under the watchful, gentle company of alpacas Frankie and Archie the hens live a genuinely happy life on pasture. Check out their social media for pictures!

You’ll spot them easily at the Adelaide Showground Farmers Market with their bright and colourful egg cartons. Owners (mother and daughter team) Claire and Sienna bring fresh, local eggs every second Sunday that are full of flavour, nutrient-dense, and laid by hens that spend every day outside doing what hens love most.

Come say hello and taste the difference of truly pasture-raised eggs from Back Valley Farm.
