Starting at 7.50am near the verandah and info stand, this relaxed 40 minute session will include gentle movement, breathing and meditation, finishing in time for the market opening at 8.30am. Older kids are welcome to quietly join in too, although the session is designed mainly with adults in mind.

The session is part of a short community trial currently running weekly under the verandah, with plans to move onto one of the market’s grassed areas during the warmer months.

Dhyan Foundation Australia has been offering free community yoga sessions across Australia since 2023, focusing on physical and mental wellbeing through traditional Vedic practices. Sessions include abdominal breathing, gentle back and spine strengthening exercises, and guided meditation designed to help calm the mind and prepare you for the day ahead.

Run entirely by volunteers from all walks of life, the foundation shares accessible yoga and meditation practices through free workshops, sessions and retreats for the wider community.

Afterwards, stay on for breakfast, coffee and your weekly healthy market shop. Real food, fresh air and a slower start to Sunday morning.
