To mark Global Recycling Day, Kids Corner will be running a simple hands on activity for children.
Using Fleurieu Milk cartons collected from our market cafés including Vespa Coffee and The Spare Room Café, children will turn these cartons into their own milk bottle planter. Kids can decorate the carton, plant a seedling and take it home to grow.
It is a simple way to show how everyday items can be reused instead of thrown away, while encouraging conversations about recycling and caring for the environment.
The activity is led by Paulie and our market volunteers and children are encouraged to create alongside their parents or caregivers.
