Celebrate pollinators and the important role they play in our food system this Sunday, 25 May at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market. Wear a pop of yellow to show your support and join us for a morning of community awareness, local food and hands on fun for the kids.
From 10am to 11am, children can build their own Bee Hotel at Kids Corner to take home and place in the garden, helping support native pollinators in their own backyard. There will also be a bee anatomy activity sheet with a small treat available while stocks last.
It’s also the perfect excuse to explore the wonderful honey products available across the market, bake something sweet at home with local honey, and pick up plants, seedlings and edible garden inspiration to help create a pollinator friendly home patch.
Because without bees and pollinators, much of the food we enjoy simply would not exist.
