Open Gate Farms is a family farm run by Dave and Liz Lohmeyer in Langhorne Creek on the Fleurieu Peninsula.

The Lohmeyer family are fourth generation farmers, working across the rich flood plains of the Bremer River. Since 2013, they have followed regenerative farming practices, using their cattle and turkeys to help improve the health of the land while producing quality food for the local community.

Their turkeys are raised outdoors and moved onto fresh pasture each week, where they can forage naturally on grass, seeds and insects. Along with whole birds and turkey rolls, Dave brings a great range of everyday and less familiar cuts to the market, including fillets, steaks, mince, schnitzels, sausages and turkey bacon.

Open Gate Farms also produces beef that is 100 per cent grass fed and finished on the family farm. Look out for classic cuts including steaks, roasts, mince and sausages, conveniently packed in smaller portions.
