A festive, hands-on pine cone activity for children in Kids Corner.
Our wonderful market volunteers will be helping children turn pine cones into their own Christmas decorations this Sunday. It’s a relaxed, hands-on activity that lets kids get creative in their own way, and most little makers will finish in about 15 minutes – longer if they really get into it.
The one shown here is just an example. We’re sure your kids will come up with something even better.

Join us at the market as we welcome Lolly Jar Circus, who’ll be firing up the barbecue to raise funds for their inspiring social circus programs. Lolly Jar Circus offers classes for children and young people of all abilities—including those with disabilities, neurodivergence, or at social risk—helping them build strength, confidence, and connection through movement and play. The Ukes, a lively group of ukulele enthusiasts from Glenelg, will be performing outdoors under the red umbrellas on the grass. Known for their fun, community vibe and cheerful tunes, they’re always a favourite with families and kids. Enjoy the music, tap your feet, and soak up the friendly atmosphere they bring to every performance.

Blossom the Bubble Fairy will be joining us on Sunday 14 December, creating her fantastic giant bubbles and offering face painting for a small fee. You’ll find her outdoors near Santa. It’s shaping up to be a big day at the market, with Santa’s visit, live entertainers, come and try circus and plenty more happening right across the morning.
