The Zehle family migrated to the Adelaide Hills from Germany in 1983 in search of living a lifestyle more connected to the land.  What resulted is Salad Greens and Kitchen Herbs, a family’s passion for good, fresh and healthy food.

Now run by second generation Sven and Judith Zehle, the 67-acre farm in Echunga in the Adelaide Hills, produces a variety of potted herbs, salad mixes, and other certified organic fine foods.

The Zehles are passionate about growing and supplying healthy vegetables. To offer nutritious options all year round they utilize hydroponic farming techniques, offering the freshest food with balance, healthy nutrients and a longer shelf life.

Salad Greens and Kitchen Herbs have been providing exceptional quality, purity, and service for over 20 years, supplying gourmet salad mix and potted kitchen herbs to greengrocers, restaurants and markets.

They employ about 20 people including family and locals working on the farm to assist with planting, sowing, cutting, harvesting and packing.
