Around the Showground Market

  • Oranges and Lemons

With citrus now coming fully into season, Graham and Annemarie of  The Food Forest have new season organic Seville oranges just in time for marmalade making. Joy and Dave of DJS Garden Fresh Citrus have freshly squeezed orange juice from their own Valencia and Navel oranges plus delicious mandarins.  You'll find oranges also plus lemons and limes at Cooinda ProprietorsB and A Andonopoulos and the Food Forest. If you're a bit of a citrus aficionado or a marmalade-making whizz, you might be interested in the upcoming Marmalade Awards and the Citrus Festival at Beaumont House on 29 July.

  • Butter Fingers

Welcome back to Eko Fruits this Sunday, to the market with their early Riverland avocados. Get to market early as Mitch and crew tend to sell out quickly.

Famous for her heritage varieties, Brenda of Alnda Farms has juicy, new season, black Roma tomatoes. Richard of Bull Creek Organic brings his freshly harvested, organic, new season radishes, parsley, dill, fennel, cauliflower and, of course, his amazing garlic.

Some tasty, delicious winter warmers on offer from Saskia Beer Farm Produce with an expanded range of yummy crumbed nuggets including Chicken, Goose and Turkey.

  • Doughnuts

We're often asked about special dietary options at the market. Good news is that The Garden Farmer now has Almond Milk available. You can find Brendan outside beside Gut Feeling. While you're there you might like to try have you tried Sam of Gut Feeling's gut-healthy Kombucha and Kimchi? And maybe you've been missing your gluten-free doughnuts? Great news for you then! Enzo’s Gluten Free return as a pop-up selling gluten-free bread and doughnuts. Just Gluten-Free will be back at the market 23 September.

We welcome back Bill and Rosemary Cooksley of Rich Pickings after a short break. The Cooksley's property is located at Ashton in the Adelaide Hills. They'll be bringing their beautiful, freshly cut, native flowers.
